Former WWU student convicted for murdering ex-girlfriend

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A former Western Washington College pupil has been convicted of taking pictures his former girlfriend to loss of life in 2019.
A jury convicted 24-year-old Rigoberto Galvan of Aggravated First Diploma Homicide and First Diploma Housebreaking for killing 22-year-old Stephanie Cresswell-Brenner.
Galvan broke into her twentieth Avenue condominium and shot her earlier than calling 911 and confessing to the crime.
Galvan may spend the remainder of his life in jail.
Sentencing has been set for October third in Whatcom Superior Court docket.
