Dangerous Bellingham inmate escapes Police Custody : Bellingham Metro News

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A man from Bellingham, Washington recently arrested for Robbery and Arson has escaped Police Custody after receiving a medical evaluation at the ER.

According to Bellingham Police Department the man who escaped Police custody has been identified as Craig Wise age 56 out of Whatcom County.

He is 6-1 in height and weighs in at 190 pounds. Wise was last seen wearing green scrubs similar to jail scrubs, Wise was not wearing any shoes.

Craig Wise was last seen fleeing eastbound on Sunset Drive across the Interstate-5 (I-5) overpass.

According to official Whatcom County booking records for 3-5-2021 WISE, CRAIG STUART, 56 Years old, was arrested for Robbery in the first degree.

Wise was also booked for charges of Arson in the first degree where bail was set at $40,000.00 OR $4,000.00 CASH per Booking records.

BPD stated that Wise committed the robbery on March 5th, 2021 where he had pepper sprayed a loss prevention officer.

Bellingham Police has issued a Be on the Lookout (BOLO), if seen, do not approach Craig Wise as he is considered dangerous and call 9-1-1 immediately.

According to Bellingham Metro News correspondence on the ground in Bellingham, WA. BPD is searching the area behind Safeway on Sunset Drive with K-9 Officers.
