Bellingham man arrested in traffic stop, drugs found in vehicle
Bellingham, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Bellingham man is in custody after deputies recovered medication supposed on the market from his car.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s spokesperson Deb Slater mentioned that the suspect was pulled over on W Axton Street early Friday morning.
Deputies discovered that the suspect, 26-year-old Carlos Velazquez-Martinez, had a number of lively misdemeanors warrants and was driving on a suspended license.
As he was being arrested, deputies observed drug paraphernalia contained in the automotive. They later recovered baggies of methamphetamine and a bottle of oxycodone tablets from the car, together with $1,300 money.
Velazquez-Martinez was booked and launched from the Whatcom County Jail throughout the span of an hour.
